Coaching Requirements

As a U.S. Figure Skating member club we are required to check coaches eligibility to coach at U.S. Figure Skating sanctioned events
.
It is the coach’s responsibility to provide White Rose FSC Directors with the documentation required.

It is the responsibility of the hosting club to enforce these requirements at their events.  If a coach is not registered or is not compliant, he or she will not be able to work with skaters at the competition, event or test session.  This includes going into the locker room with skater(s), standing with skater(s) prior to and following the event or competition, standing by the boards while the skater is on the ice and coaching on any unofficial or official practice ice hosted by the competition or event.

Parents/Skaters please take note:  If your coach has not yet complied with the U.S. Figure Skating registration and continuing education requirements, they may be turned away at any future competitions, test sessions, ice shows and sanctioned club activities.  U.S. Figure Skating is a membership-based organization with more than 70 percent of its members 17 years of age or younger.  In keeping with the standards of many youth sports organizations, schools and recreational programs in America today, U.S. Figure Skating has implemented a background screening process to help ensure that we are providing a safe environment and protecting the welfare of all participants in U.S. Figure Skating sanctioned activities.
